About Jan:

Jan is a composer and music and voice-over producer with over 25 years experience.

Jan's songs under her music label Red Lady Records and Music Publishing, have received critical acclaim and have been featured in film and television as well as performed internationally.  Jan is a distinguished member of ASCAP and a voting member for the Grammy Awards and American Music Awards Associations.

She has co-written and produced with artists such as Randy Hall, Chris Bennett, Keb Mo, to name a few but the pride of her career has been the opportunity to write and produce with the very talented Rachael Storey (Title track "Guilt and Honey" and her other extraordinary daughter Nina Storey writer - producer - vocalist with whom she co-wrote and co-produced 5 CD's.  She also says it's all worth it working and traveling with husband Bill Storey.  

Along with her studio work Jan tour-managed countless National and International live original music tours.  She is also known all over the country as the best booking agent anyone could have.

Jan is also a highly creative and hilarious voice-over artist and has produced many successful voice reels for other voice over actors.

With multi-lingual capabilities, Jan and Bijou Studio / CES Live Sound are expanding their offerings to include audio engineering, music composing and producing and voice-over production for Spanish, French, Italian and German speaking artists and audiences.



About Bill:

With an Electrical Engineering degree from Georgia Tech, graduate work in Aerospace Engineering systems with the US Navy jet pilot masters program in Pensacola Fl, Bill applied his heavy duty engineering background to the best profession in the world: MUSIC!

Bill has been doing live and studio sound engineering for over twenty years.  Touring both nationally and internationally, he has worked for a broad spectrum of artists (Barry Manilow, Frank Sinatra, Paul Anka, Johnny Mathis, Wayne Newton, Scott Page of TOTO and Pink Floyd, jazz artist Chris Bennett and blues pop artist Nina Storey just to name a few).

Working with such premier audio companies as A1 Audio in Hollywood, Bill has worked in all capacities as a live audio engineer.  From front of the house, to monitor mixing, tour tech and master-engineer.  Bill as acquired the distinction amongst his peers as having a fine-tuned ear.

Bill has brought his engineering skills and sound system to such venues as Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Fiddler's Green (Lilith Fair), New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, Santa Cruz Blues Festival, and the Monterey Blues Festival.

The CES Live Sound system has toured the globe performing at venues ranging from Invesco Field at Mile High in Denver to the World's Fair in Seville Spain to aboard the USS Saratoga in the Mediterranean Sea and United Nations military installations in Croatia and Macedonia.

Amongst many accolades, Bill is proudest of the ones he has received for the recording, mixing and mastering he did for his daughter Nina Storey on her albums.  "Bootleg" recorded live at the Center for the Performing Arts in Crested Butte, Colorado and "24 Off the Board" recorded live at Moe's Alley in Santa Cruz, California which was voted "Best Live Recorded CD of the Year."

About Bijou:

My name is Bijou! Yes, I am French! I am from the greatest City in the US. NEW ORLEANS! But that is where I started. I was quickly put into the Doggie slammer (if you know what I mean) I was thankfully rescued and taken to Colorado!

I got a nick name by my new owners as "Debil Dog."  I was, you might say ROTTEN! However with the kindness and patience of my new owners and a lot of training in a very tough juvenile facility, I became the Love of everyone's life!

My owners are musicians and engineers. As you can imagine we traveled and toured throughout the country. I even got the opportunity to go to shows and help do sound at the shows! Even the venue owners fell in love with me! I guess you might say, I became irresistible!

Then for the BIG MOVE. We relocated to Mexico! Boy I couldn't even imagine such an exciting life! Or even a life at all, after my run in with the law!

Well here I am with my very own recording studio! All the artists and musicians LOVE ME! (not to be bragging! But I sit in on almost every session. (by request only) I even help my producer with the vocals at the request of the singers! But I know my place if you need me to keep my distance.

YEP This is the life! Ok, maybe it's a little hot for all the hair I have. But my owners or I should say parents gave me a home made hair cut! Oye! It's not exactly a Beverly Hills cut, but it sure cools me off!

So I would have to say that I think that my being the head of the studio, you will have an even more enjoyable experience at Bijou Recording Studio. If you like I will grace you with my company in your room. But of course by invitation only!

My Spanish is pretty darn good if I do say so myself. Maybe even a little better than my parents!
